Savage 111 Hog Hunter 338 Win Mag Comp #MPT11338

Made from stress proof carbon steel to withstand countless high pressured rounds.  This comp incorporates 6 slotted ports cut in the top 1/3 of the diameter.  The large chamber where these ports are located allow the gas to expand before exit.  The gas then hits a wall reducing felt recoil as the bullet passes through the .375 cal bore where the last remaining gas escapes from the top port minimizing muzzle flip.  The crown is recess cut at a 11 degrees for greater accuracy. The base has flats for easy removal with an open ended wrench (13/16) which also has a 45 degree taper to match the OD of the barrel.  This comp is exclusively designed for the Savage 111 Hog Hunter 338 Winchester Magnum.  All smooth, no sharp edges.  DuraCoated in Matte Black for a tough durable finish.
